How to get the limousine bus to the Akita Airport

Ohayo, every one! It’s been already March, how do you spend time recently? In Akita, it snows a lot again. It’s one of the choices to borrow the car for moving to districts, but it’s difficult for travelers to drive on roads that snow stuck and iced. So I recommend you use public transportation particularly in winter trip! In this article, I’m gonna tell you how to get the limousine bus to Akita Airport from Akita station.

You can get the limousine bus at the West side of the station. In the rotary, there is the guide station of buses. You can buy the ticket by cash using the vending machine. But if you have the IC card like Suica I mentioned before article, you can use it touching inside the bus without buying tickets! And if you couldn’t buy it and have IC card, you can pay by cash, too.

The fare is 950yen for an adult and 450yen for a child. Press the button of the price you want to buy. The bus stop, No.1 is over the guide station. You can find Topico and taxi rotary from the bus stop. And you need to wait in line along with the bench of bus stop.

When you get the bus, you touch it on the left side of exit. And you do again on the machine next to the driver seat when you get off. It’s not easy to find it a little, so you can observe the passengers before you!

It’s same way too when you move Akita station from Akita Airport. You can but the ticket on vending machine in front of Arrival Exit, and get the bus from the outside. The bus usually waits by the exit next to the vending machine of ticket.

It takes about 40 minutes on the way. You can enjoy the landscape of the town! In the bus, there is the announce in Japanese and English. It’s so quiet inside, so you need to be careful not to be loud!

In addition, I’m gonna introduce you inside of Akita Airport! Arriving the airport, you can find the counters of All Nippon Airline and Japan Air Line on the ground floor. There are the security checkpoint, souvenir store, and lounge on the upstair. If you buy some souvenirs and want to put them in the baggage you leave, you go to upstair first!

There are a lot of special products in the souvenir store, such as Japanese sake, traditional dishes, Akita-inu doll, and snacks. You can choose your favorites from many kinds!

My favorite is this sweet snack, called “Karinto”. This shape is unique compared with normal one. You can enjoy the crisp texture and sesami taste! The place you can get it is limited in Akita, I’d like you to try it!

And if you have time till departure, you can enjoy the Cafe “Nagahama Coffee” in front of the security checkpoint! This is most famous cafe in Akita. It was just open at the end of this February at in this airport. You can get not only beverage but also some snacks and lunch! It’s good for you to stay there throwing back your trip memory!
